Born in 1973 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. Graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP), Portugal (1991–1997).

 

Erasmus student at TU Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands (1996–1997).

 

After completing his degree he collaborated as an architect at several architecture studios in Porto.

 

From 2001 to 2008 he was cofounder and managing partner of the firm Fernandes, Bonito and Sá Costa Arquitetos in Porto.

 

In 2009 he set himself up in Porto, also collaborating from 2011 to 2013 as an architect at the architecture firm MVentura & Partners.

 

He concluded in June 2015 the International Master Programme and Post-Graduation in Sustainable Built Environment (iMiSBE) at the University of Minho, Guimarães, with a dissertation based on the study of prefabricated solutions to rehabilitate low-energy-performance buildings.

Guest Lecturer of Construction I at FAUP during the second semester of 2015.

Invited in March 2016 by TUHH (Hamburg University of Technology) to evaluate the work of third-year students of Project Design as part of an academic project to design a winery and support equipment for a farm in the Douro Valley.
